The Dean Ween Group also did a song called ‘Garry’ as a tribute to Garry Shider.
"It’s a song that’s in the vein of Parliament Funkadelic," Dean Ween said in his Songfacts interview. “It’s very much in that style. I just figured screw it, I’d put his name on it. It’s a beautiful song on its own merit and that’s kind of how I play anyway, so it wasn’t really a stretch. He could be alive and I still would have put it on the record and called it ‘Garry.’”
