I was touched by the video footage of–I think it’s Glen Goins–singing that crucial part of the song about the ship landing, seeing how he’s transitioned. Who is the sista that was introduced and then took it home right around that part of the song? I mean, I heard her name, but what is her story?

Glad you enjoyed it. I created those special arrangements for the Mothership show - part of my job as MD as well as rehearsing the band nonstop the week prior to the show. A lot of work but glad folks liked it

Funktastic review. I’ve been finding bits and pieces online. I understand about the tears, i actually shed a few at the 20th Anniversary in NYC. Damn. 50 years. The whole vibe now is afrofuturism. And the Mothership is that. I felt it from that festival. Incredible.
