I remember reading someone’s account of watching Funkadelic perform (or mime) Pussycat on TV in the 70s, riddled with censors over any instance of “pussy” on its own. For the life of me I cannot find any mention of this or even the account I read. Anyone heard of this? Maybe a false memory on their or my behalf??
The only TV show I know of where they sung that song was on Saturday Night Life in the mid 1980s.
There was a more recent performance on BBC2 (Newsnight?) in the UK where they launched into this track. I remember the presenter’s face was a picture.
I think it used to be on YouTube, but can’t find it at the moment.
