Update for people finding this topic with an external link. Org Music is about to release what will most definitely be the definitive Maggot Brain reissue. AAA and all that good stuff.
Regarding the 50th anniversary edition, my copy was the worst sounding record I ever owned. Of all my records. Unlistenable. And I usually don’t care that much, but this was something else.. The bonus 12” sounded ok though, it was the main album that was awful.
