Here’s what p-funk related stuff I got last year.
I listened a lot to the Altered Beats album. It’s a Cut Chemist/Kid Koala type of record from the 90’s, like mixtape/turntable stuff. It’s compiled by Laswell and got Bernie and Jerome Brailey on it. And there are also two mixes of Bootsy’s If 6 Was 9, one of them by Prince Paul.
Another interesting record I got was the Waltz Of A Ghetto Fly 7". Released 5 years before the album and credited to “Mr Fiddler”, not to Amp…
Zillatron, Andre Foxxe, the Mr Fiddler album and that Boot-Legged-Bootsy are CDs. Waiting on the vinyl releases.

Nice stuff! I been thinking about buying that Smell My Finger promo vinyl (that you got) for a while now. Maybe this is the year.

It’s a good one to get, and it’s split over 2 records so the quality is niiice. I have a special love for 90s P-Funk as that is when I was a new fan. Just had to get that one, Funkcronomicon and Dope Dogs and still really, really want TAPOAFOM but haven’t yet found a good price on one that’s in VG+ or better condition.

One of my favorites is missing that I highly recommend. I don’t see Eddie Hazel’s Rest In P on the list. If you don’t have it search it out. It’s excellent!!!

Yes that’s true, I don’t have that one! I love Game, Dames And Guitar Thangs and Jams From The Heart, so I should definitely check that one out.

I got my hands on the cd a while ago. Shit is dope.
No matter how many solos he does in a record, when it fades I always feel like he’s just getting started and there’s a feeling I’m missing out on something really special, just around the corner…
