Damn! RIP

Hey Good Lookin and Do Fries Go With That Shake are awesome. And he did a lot on that Tackheads album.

I have yet to listen to Jimmy G and the Tackheads. However, I remain enamored of Washington’s bass playing technique on “Hey Good Lookin” even today. It’s such a cool style with its popping and sliding of the instrument’s strings!

Cool. A few more: Life Styles of the Roach & Famous. Inc. Thang Band. He also did some co-production on George’s Some of My Best Jokes Are Friends. (Bulletproof), Pleasures of Exhaustion.

He could get a nice tone on trumpet as well. Him and GC got it going pretty good in the 80’s and of course, Slave- the most underrated funk band ever.

No doubt. He kinda sorta stepped in after the Junie era.

Hey FunkOn, is this the same guy from Aurra? Slave was not on my radar - I’m rectifying that. Big fan of Salsoul though snd Aurra did some boss tunes on that label.

If ye like Disco
