So, back before I was full time with P-Funk, I had an 18 piece funk group in New England called Sweet Motha Child. From 1998 to 2003 we released six albums and toured extensively throughout the Northeast. Although many of the band members remained active and continued to work with me on Secret Army and other projects, the band hadn’t played together or recorded anything officially in over 22 years. For the past three years we’ve been finishing the long-awaited 7th album by this group. We’re even reuniting for a short reunion tour in the Northeast in january.
