Moonlighting "P"

The song “Disco Lady”(1976) by Johnny Taylor, who, by the way, could sing any style, helped usher in a new style of music called “Disco”. The "P"connection? Well glad u asked. Bernie on keyboards. Bootsy on bass. Gary Shider the lead guitarist. Jerome “big foot” Brailley on drums. Glen Goins
offering vocal assistance. No wonder the song was a smash at #1. And oh yeah, the producer was Don Davis. He was the owner of the legendary United Sound Systems outta Detroit. So PFunk all around.( “landed in Detroit at United Sounds.”) lyrics from “Nubian Nut.” I was 10, when I heard “Disco Lady”. Not knowing it was partially “P”. Just like a lot of other subject matters I did not know about. Word.
