I keep meaning to get into his solo stuff.
I put his very, underrated musical prowess right up there with Prince. Easily. One Nation, Uncle Jam, All The Woo, Motor Booty, some Electric Spanking, some Gloryhallastoopid, some Computer games, Urban Dancefloor, Longer Way Around. The song “Quicky”.That’s all Junie man when he was around in the studio.
Oh aye, it’s the solo Junie, rather the P or the Players stuff I’m hesitating over. Partly because there ain’t much on Tidal.
They’ve got a best of the westbound years, a live album - which is excellent and has a great version of Shaky Ground.
Other than that they have 5 and evacuate the seats. Neither really grabbed me.
The Westbound comp stuff is lovely. I’ve underplayed that for sure.
Understood. I subscribe to you tube music monthly. They pretty much have anyhing and everything that’s ever been released. It’s only been 2 or 3 titles I have not seen in 3 years with the membership.
