I think this might be different to the as-yet-unreleased ‘Where’d You Get That Funk From?’ book, but Lloyd Bradley just announced that ‘Funk is its own Reward: From R&B to Hip Hop’ is coming out at the end of this month. It’s available from Amazon, but if you want a signed copy, UK retailers Rough Trade and Resident Music are offering pre-orders. This should be good!

Hey Phil, lloyd bradley here. Thanks for your interest and I hope I can clear something up - Where’d You Get That Funk From is more unwritten than “unreleased” :slight_smile: I fell out with the publisher who, essentially, wanted to write the book for me. They were too quick to put it up on Amazon and apparently it’s still there although it never has existed. Funk Is Its Own Reward is the book I wanted to write then. It comes out next Thursday and please check out Instagram talesofthefunky for events IRL and online and a forthcoming funk-filled YouTube channel.

Meant to say, my copy arrived last week - looks great. Only had chance to read a small amount so far, but so far, so good! The chapter titles look very promising too, right up my alley.
