Just wanted to get a 2nd and 3rd set of eyes on this.
A video on Youtube claiming to be of the 12" single of Still Tight can be found here:
According to the picture of the record in the video, and the description of the video, and the tracklists of the two “full” singles on Discogs, this video contains the following:
[Unnecessary Hype Club Mix] + [Remix] + [Necessarily Tight Hype Club Edit] + [Tight Remix Edit]
However, I have downloaded this track and put it into Audacity, and although I haven’t done a full listen through, a look at the waveform seems to suggest that side A is a nonstop single song, about 15:57 long. The two mixes on side B look like they should be about 8:10 total, but they are only 6:55 and appear to be one nonstop song, though at the 18:59 mark we hear what sounds suspiciously like an edit. Maybe they did that on side A too?
It would be nice to have a clean rip of all four mixes from this record, but unless I’m wrong, I don’t think this video gives us that. I have ripped from other videos in the past, the 7:25 and 4:10 mixes but whatever’s going on with this rip might prevent us from having the 8:36 and 3:55 mixes. Then again, it’s almost exactly 3:55 from the strange edit spot, so maybe it is there in full after all?
Thoughts?
