Is the one at the Smithsonian the original? It was my understanding the original Mothership was taken to a scrap yard, and was never recovered. And the one at the Smithsonian is a replica. Am I misremembering?

I believe the one in the Smithsonian is the one used on the TAPOAFOM tour 96.

Yeah, it’s the 96 one.

If they do this, it would be awesome if they also brought it over to Europe. But I suppose that’s only wishful thinking, probably pretty expensive to bring a spaceship over.. :sweat_smile:

Yup that’s the big day! Essence is actually the official 50th anniversary kickoff. The unofficial one happens this month at P-Funk Fest in Tallahassee. Strong rumors that the new mother will be test landed there as well…
