I’m brand new to this forum, so please forgive me if I asked a question that’s already been answered.
I’m a young 21 yr old P-Funk fan & guitarist who absolutely admires Eddie Hazel’s guitar playing and trying to listen to all of it that I can …
Though there’s not much resources on the internet for the exact songs he played guitar on after Funkadelic’s first 3 albums and their 6th album SOTVOGIO (along with another guitarist, would like to know which songs Ed was playing solos and writing riffs on instead of the other guitarist on that album) … Dames & Guitar Things, Jams From The Heart …
I’ve heard he occasionally played guitar on some songs for P-Funk even after he technically wasn"t part of the collective, could someone point me to those tracks?
I know he played for The Temptations on 2 albums, but did he play guitar on all the songs on those albums, or just some? Which ones? Same with Bonnie Rotten and other artists he was a session musician for, I’d like to know.
Thanx in advance !!

Welcome to the forum.
Danny’s book is of course excellent source material for what Eddie played on and who played with him not just Pfunk but solo stuff, too and his work with the Temptations.
It wasnt my sole reason for buying the book but what Eddie did - and the original Funkadelics played on - was a big part of it for sure.
You’ll be surprised just how much stuff Eddie actually plays on. As far as Funkadelic is concerned, there’s really only One Nation where he’s complete absent. Chocolate City is his last Parliament album.

Soulmate by The Temptations has Eddie Hazel playing and co authoring. It’s the same basic composition as the Funkadelic song with completely different lyrics.
The 2 Ruth Copeland records on Invictus have Eddie playing on most tracks.
Chairmen Of The Board album Skin I’m In has Eddie on a bunch of tracks.
The P-Funk All Stars songs Sick ‘Em and Pumpin’ It Up.
Nubian Nut by George Clinton.
Man’s Best Friend By George Clinton.
Osmium and all the singles and outtakes from Parliament’s Invictus era.
Bootsy’s New Rubber Band song Blasters from the album Blasters of the Universe.
Orbitron Attack, Pray My Soul, and Sacred To The Pain, all from the Funkronomicon album.
Hardcore Jollies album, most of the songs.
So Called Friends by J.J. Barnes is an early version of Friday Night August the 14th, and Eddie plays on it.
The Parliaments earlier version of Good Old Music.
A few songs on Let’s Take It To The Sage.
Both versions of Whatever Makes My Baby Feel Good (1968 Rose Williams and 1974 Parliament).
That’s off the top of my head, I know there’s a bunch of other material that’s not coming to mind right now.
