That’s a pretty accurate appraisal I’d say

Here’s a surprising cover of a P-Funk deep cut from Gloryhallastoopid: “Color Me Funky”, though I’m not sure if it’s really a cover as I supect the band might have some members who crossed over from P-Funk. I especially like how “gotta have the funk” evolves into “gotta have the nut” and “gotta have the bump” and “uncle jam is coming, is coming for you” becomes “uncle jam is coming to do it to you”.
I also like the Bootsy-like character on the cover.
