All the woo in the world is one of my favorites. I recently bought it on vinyl and have been loving it. But Much Thrust has a bit of distortion in the higher frequencies. The record is clean and in near mint condition; the rest of the songs on the album play beautifully.
Mine is the Terre Haute pressing.
Has anybody else experienced the same thing?
I don’t have that specific one, but I can say with certainty that the inner tracks (last track on either side) will have the lowest fidelity on and LP. Some unavoidable technical reasons for that. Engineers can do some stuff to make it less noticeable.
Haven’t heard it on vinyl in a long time but I recall that track not sounding too good fidelity-wise.
Checked my copy and there’s no distortion on that track (on the copy that I got). I got the Hub-Servall pressing.
It’s crazy that that’s Boots on the guitar!
I’m pretty sure that Danny’s credits on that song are not totally accurate; as far as I know Bootsy never solos on guitar, especially like that!
I’m inclined to trust the album credits on this one and I’m 100% sure that’s Eddie on guitar and Billy on bass.
Yeah, I got it from Danny’s book
. You’re probably right.
I saw a live version on YouTube. Eddie was playing the solo. I was pretty sure before that; now I’m convinced. I’ll see if I can dig it out. Probably Bushtales.
