Welcome, @Chunkrecords !

Ah, it does sound enough like P-Funk—I’ve been beaten to the punch!

Any info on how it was made? I was looking into ACE-Step because it can be finetuned, to get more grit.

It was done with Suno, it has this typical “Suno shimmer”, especially in the vocals.
As the date implies (1 year ago), it used a quite old model.

The label is called “L33K5P1N 84574RD5” from Germany. They focus on

Vaporwave as well as re-emphasizing some from the 60s, 70s and 80s, partly as pastiches. Lots of experimental stuff taken off the wide field between Post Punk, French House, Funk, Psychedelic, Disco and Dub, plus Industrial, Techno and other electronic genres.

the whole (digital) discography is rather super cheap, 523 Albums for 0,99$ plus what you like…

Clinkadelic - Tales From The Crimson Zone Of Funkativity Part 1

bulky P-Funk from the dark side of it…

Zone of Funkativity reminds me of Basic Laws by Miroslav Vitous, but darker, slower and nastier with more bass and Moog sound and some distorted P-Funk vocalizations thrown in.

Never heard Miroslav Vitous before, but that again reminds me of the funkiest moments of the “Go”-Project by Stomu Yamashta, as well as of “Natural Knowledge” (from “Gigantic Days”) by Ian O’Brien.

Meanwhile Part 2 is available.
Contains 6 long running P-Funk Jams with titles like “Solar Charged Omni-Freak Lovebot” or “The Tale About Chrome-Dome Rick”. But my favourite is the last track “On The Fringe Again”, which is an outstanding P-Funk-Disco-track.

1: The third/last part of the “Tales”. Contains 4 long P-Jams plus a dystopic outro:

2: A P-Funk derivate is “The Rebootical” by P-Rebootical. It joins forces from 80s P-Funk, some HipHop(G-Funk) as well as vaporwavish chopped & skrewed elements:

The last in June '25 is Clinkadelic’s “Sugar-Sick Dream” which its roots in 80s P-Funk. The title track is a good example for their sentimental, groovy Funk jams.

The 1st one in July '25 is also the ever 1st live performance, done by AI. 10 new tracks in 68 minutes, mimicking the sound of around the mid of the 70s.

The Cosmodelics are a side project by Clinkadelic, and they mix P-Funk chants and basslines with Space Rock. The lyric lines are as much economical as the songs are, so they might come like a “low budget” version of P-Funk, but this is not worse .. it’s quite a different colour of the P.
Try “Anti-Dim” for its catchiness first.
