I just got Wax Poetics issue number 2 volume 2 that got released last year. It got lots of P-Funk related stuff. Not as much as [the P-Funk issue](https://pfunkforums.com/t/p-funk-issue-of-wax-poetics-is-back-in-print/451), but still… There’s three articles with a P connection. One is about the America Eats Its Young album/period, another about Sheila Brody and the last article is about Jessica Cleaves. 36 pages in total! Excellent stuff. Just some minor errors, like the early Parliaments lineup and such, but was still a great read. I really like Wax Poetics. Such a quality magazine. And I feel that it got even better after they restarted it again last year (with volume two). It got a little wider and there’s almost no ads. I think there were only one about some kind of sampling site. So refreshing with a magazine without ads. There’s also other nice (non-p-related) stuff in it, like articles about Miles Davis, Gang Starr and Labell. Here’s some images from the magazine. ![wp_issue2_vol2_1](https://pfunkforums.com/uploads/default/original/2X/e/ef811ab7520eaf4c52604e8c3a0092d4e64428ca.jpeg) ![wp_issue2_vol2_2](https://pfunkforums.com/uploads/default/original/2X/d/d06b8e1916be8dfd60a64b733f0479a00b11a12c.jpeg) ![wp_issue2_vol2_3](https://pfunkforums.com/uploads/default/original/2X/f/f9848a8d53ba032d1d6505eb7cdfb3b4144b5d34.jpeg) ![wp_issue2_vol2_4](https://pfunkforums.com/uploads/default/original/2X/9/9c5f51fd424d19e7e250e1139def7c7401e3940b.jpeg) ![wp_issue2_vol2_5](https://pfunkforums.com/uploads/default/original/2X/0/0f25e4140e0234dd4c9e09f91a25ceebfd66b966.jpeg) ![wp_issue2_vol2_6](https://pfunkforums.com/uploads/default/original/2X/3/301e3ea2c91efc31262f4526d2e3417334ee270b.jpeg) ---

I love sharing the P, but it doesn’t feel right copying this since it’s still possible to buy it directly from them. And it’s a great magazine to support. > **[Vol. 2, Issue 2 \[20th Anniversary: Gang Starr / Labelle\]](https://store.waxpoetics.com/products/vol-2-issue-2-20th-anniversary-gang-starr-labelle)** > > Don't miss out on our 20th anniversary issue. > > FRONT COVER: GANG STARR > Released as one of the last shots of true NYC underground before the oncoming wave of hip-hop commercialism, Hard to Earn was an artistic rebirth that came as Gang Starr... ---

Yeah, seems to be sold out at a lot of places. But I found one copy for sale at [this Norwegian marketplace site](https://www.finn.no/bap/forsale/ad.html?finnkode=295138163)! Let me know if you want me to help you with that site, like contacting the seller or something else. I don’t speak Norwegian, but it’s pretty similar to Swedish. 🙂 ---

It’s now possible to read the Sheila Brody article over at [Jessica Lipsky’s site](https://www.jlipsky.com/the-brides-side).
