# Bootsy / George relationship

Just wondering what is known or what people think about the current state of the Bootsy / George relationship. With Bootsy’s book coming out soon I’ve been wondering if there will be any revelations. Especially over things like Woodstock and the 1990s reunion tour. They always talk highly of each other in interviews (with the exception of Bootsy’s story of GC trying to get him to smoke crack)
If ever there were two artists who brought out the best in each other it was Bootsy and George. Just wondering if there were any particular reason the professional and/or personal relationship waned over the years.
And hopefully this isn’t a can of worms topic. I love both artists and the work they have done together and apart.

I’m just hoping they somehow can find time to collaborate again. More stuff like “F” Encouter and Sloppy Seconds would be downright awesome. “orchestra, orchestra are you ready?” 1. 2 .3 git it"!!!

I have zero knowledge of the situation, but as a fan, I’ve always felt that Bootsy has been “diplomatic” when discussing that sort of thing in interviews, posts, etc. I am looking forward to the book, and you pose a interesting question. Some people feel more comfortable delving into those types of matters than others, but when they write their memoirs that is often when the guards come down, if they ever do. We shall see. I’m sure we all noticed he was not involved with the Mothership landing in New Orleans, in spite of the efforts to include other celebrity guests outside of the P-Funk family. That would have been as good of time as any to have a reunion. I think at this point they just have their own things going on.

GC and the Booted One were on stage together in Cincinnati in 2012, both giving each other major praise.

Yeah man. I was there and got it on tape. Beautiful thang. According to press, the book will address his “tumultuous relationship with GC”.
